šš» I found you through Voracious Readers Only, the first of the trilogy with Noesh. I enjoy how you allow history to inspire your writing! I write mostly fantasy inspired by nature and real places, but also blog about whatever Iām learning on my website. My first novel was a selkie fantasy and Iām working on a steampunk thriller.
Hi Elicia, your novels sound very interesting! How is the writing going? Do you write under a pen name? Confession: your selkie novel intrigued me and I tried to find it š.
Oh! Iām pursuing traditional publishing with it, thatās why:) My only published books are kids books and ministry resources.š„° The selkie book is on a good place. It needs a good line edit for sure and wouldnāt hurt to have some experiences eyes on it at the chapter level. If nothing comes of my submissions, I could self-publish in a less busy season when I could do it well.
I do write under a pen name at http://MrsDoraGraham.substack.com , but itās way different from my norm. Thatās where I write about what Iāve learned my familyās experiences in church ministry, but I do it through historical fiction to protect the people & places.
My steampunk novel is coming along well! I have a skeleton rough draft that Iām sending a few chapters at a time to some critique partners for feedback.:)
I am here and there. I still have a website that I'm not ready to give up, so I'm trying to figure out how this fits. (http://eliciajohnson.page) I'm kind of hoping substack can replace my newsletter I do through Mailchimp, but I haven't quite narrowed down how to replace the segments I use and everything. (I have a small farm that I send emails our for as well.) I also have that one I linked above that I add to occasionally.
